Ijot literally means ‘light’ in Maithili language. IJot foundation is a non-government, not for profit, social development organization, established under Society Registration Act 1977 with its head-quarter in Janakpurdham, province no. 2 of Nepal. It aims to help marginalized, vulnerable and underprivileged section of society depart from the darkness of poverty, illiteracy and ill-health towards light of prosperity and health through holistic approach comprising education, health, livelihood and WASH (water sanitation and hygiene) to name major dimensions.
